Outdoor Exploration

Our Programs

Children learn through play, interaction, problem solving, exploration and discovery. We strive to allow kids to be themselves through big body play and curiosity. Big body play includes rolling, spinning, pulling, pushing, tumbling, climbing, and risk-taking. This provides an opportunity to increase communication with peers, recognize of nonverbal cues, practice turn-taking and following rules, and build empathy and respect for peers.

Repetition is key to little ones learning new habits.  We practice routines, like washing hands, and helping assignments, like clearing and wiping tables, etc.

At Kid-Ventures Childcare, we aim to provide a nurturing environment for infants to grow and thrive. Our experienced staff will ensure that your little ones are well taken care of, while laying the foundation for lifelong learning by nurturing your child’s curiosity, self-confidence, and intrinsic desire to learn from birth.

Toddlers:  24 to 36 months

Toddlers at Kid-Ventures Childcare engage in fun and educational activities that support their development and satiate their desire for independence. Our safe and stimulating environment encourages learning through exploration, observational play, and plain curiosity.

Preschool: 3 to 5 years

Our Pre-school curriculum uses tactile and sensory play to build fine and gross motor skills, and movement through music, yoga and art to build body awareness. All activities are designed to target different skills, like sequencing, sorting, logic and vocabulary.

Circle Time

Every day we learn to greet our friends, sing songs, calm our minds and bodies with yoga, and shake our sillies out with dance. Throughout our day, we hear, speak, sign and make sentences to further develop vocabulary.  We practice identifying our letters, numbers, colors, and shapes, and always work on recognizing our names.

Music and Movement

Children naturally love music! Throughout the early years, children are learning to do new things with their bodies and are learning that movement can communicate messages and represent actions. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you will find us playing with instruments, scarves, and shaking and twirling with kindyRock©.

Field Trips

Occasionally, we adventure out on neighborhood walks, the library, the park, indoor playhouses, the Children’s Museum, or a splash pad. These trips are typically planned in advance and allow for parent participation.
